Easily accessible from London, Luton Hoo is a relatively new addition to the luxury golf and leisure break market. The restored mansion house is a true joy to behold, standing at the heart of the country estate, overlooking the Capability Brown conceived grounds.
Added to this are new accommodation wings, a luxury clubhouse and brand new spa and leisure complex, all formed around the old stables. The house's rich history includes countless royals and even a wartime Winston Churchill speech that was attended by 100,000 people.
The championship golf course at Luton Hoo is somewhat unique in that it has no bunkers - there are limits on the manipulation of the Capability Brown grounds - but this slight obstacle has been overcome, and using the natural terrain, the par-73 layout that is over 7,000 yards from the tips, a fine challenge has been created.
