Cordoba is the old colonial capital of Argentina and well worth a visit.
With its old colonial architecture and more of a Spanish feel it makes a great change to Buenos Aires. The main reason for golfers to visit Cordoba however is the golf course at Villa Allende, the home of Romero and Cabrera. You don't have to be as long from the tee as Cabrera to play this course, but it helps!
Other courses nearby and worth the visit are Ascochinga and Las Cumbre. For those who like bird watching there is a wonderful day out to see the Giant Condor. The condor being the world's largest bird of prey is found in the nearby mountains, breeding in the many canyons.
The world famous Iguazu Falls are truly one of the natural wonders of the world. Set in the rainforest jungles on the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay It is a destination you should not miss whilst in South America. Two nights here away from your golf will give you a weekend to remember.
The Falls, all 284 of them, can be viewed from both the Brazillian and Argentinian side. A boat ride up to the falls from the Brazil side should not be missed. Or why not take a helicopter flight?
A good tip is to leave your clubs and most of your luggage in Buenos Aires and travel light.
